Janne Johansson, Eton Systems, takes a seat on the TMAS board

The TMAS board consists of representatives from the member companies and have the important job to advance the industry’s development and be its voice. In 2026, we welcome Jan Johansson, Eton Systems, to the TMAS board.

”I am happy about the opportunity to be part of the board of directors at TMAS. The textile and automation industry faces an exciting future with many challenges in a shaky environment, but at the same time many opportunities,” says Jan Johansson, Sales & Marketing Director and member of the board at member company Eton Systems.

Jan Johansson has over 25 years of experience from international sales, business development and leadership, including various leading roles in industrial automation, medtech and telecom, and often with a focus on creating growth, building strong organizations and developing international business.

”What drives me most is the combination of people, business and development. I enjoy building teams, creating commitment and working long-term together with customers and partners. My background in sports and the leadership training at Bosön have also left a great impression on me. Much of my approach to teamwork, culture, performance and the importance of developing over time was founded there.”

Janne Johansson, Eton Systems.

Today, Jan work as Sales & Marketing Director EMEA at Eton Systems:

”My role is very much about driving the company’s international business development and commercial work forward. I am responsible for sales, marketing and strategic partnerships in several international markets and work closely with both customers, partners and our internal teams. A large part of the work involves developing long-term relationships and helping customers to streamline and automate their production flows.”

On why is it important to cooperate within the framework of a trade organization such as TMAS, Jan emphasizes the power of collaboration.

”I strongly believe in the power of collaboration. No one develops the industry of the future alone. Through TMAS we have the opportunity to gather experiences, knowledge and perspectives from different companies and parts of the industry. It strengthens both the innovation power and Sweden’s position internationally.”

At the same time, Jan believes it to be important that TMAS members together pursue questions about how we, as an industry, can stay relevant on a global arena.

”I believe in collaborations within sustainability and technology development. If we can, we should create joint activities or concepts that make us relevant globally to create conditions for business. There is a lot of competence and experience gathered within the network and I look forward to being an active part of that dialogue.”

The most important challenges for the textile industry to solve going forward will be automation, digitization and sustainability. And attracting the people who will do the job to our industry.

”The industry needs to continue developing smarter, more resource-efficient and competitive solutions. At the same time, I believe that the competence issue is becoming increasingly important. We need to attract more young people to the industry and show that today’s textile and automation industry is innovative, high-tech and international. There is enormous potential in the industry and I believe that Swedish technology and competence have very strong opportunities in the future.”
